This year's grant application narrative requirements are different from previous years, so be sure to read the Narrative Assistance Guide that FEMA has put together.

This year there are five narrative components required in five different sections in the application as opposed to years past with four components in a single narrative section.

The five components are: Organization and or/community you serve, Financial need, Project description/budget, Cost benefit and Statement of effect.

You will need to be prepared to thoroughly explain, document and provide background information on each of these areas.

Be sure to use this guide as a reference tool when you start your application.
