By Prospect Heights Fire Protection District
The Chicago Daily Herald

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Ill. — In June, the Illinois America Water Company presented Fire Chief Donald R. Gould a grant check in the amount of $1,500 for the purchase of new firefighting helmets.

The Illinois America Water Company began its grant program in 2010 to help provide financial assistance to fire and emergency organizations within the communities to which they provide service.

The Prospect Heights Fire Protection District applied for the grant in 2010 and received $1,500for the purchase of new firefighting gloves.

In 2011, the fire district again applied for the grant and received $1,500, to assist with the purchase of new fire fighting helmets.

The board of trustees, staff, and the firefighters of the Prospect Heights Fire Protection District would like to expressgratitude to Illinois America Water Company for their generous grant program and for awarding grant funding to the fire district for the second year in a row.
