Sandwich franchise donates equipment to Ariz. fire district

Firehouse Subs is giving about $24,000 for a tactical simulation lab

TUCSON, Ariz. — On Monday, Oct. 29, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is awarding the Northwest Fire District equipment in order to continue protecting and serving the residents of Pima County.

Valued at more than $23,800, the department benefits with equipment for their new tactical simulation lab. The donated equipment will enable the department to train to emergency response personnel, improving effectiveness and efficiency of firefighting operations.

Despite drastic funding cuts, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated more than $5.2 million to public safety entities across the nation since 2005. Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated more than $80,800 to first responders and public safety organizations in Arizona.
