HAVANA, Fla. — The volunteer fire departments at Mt. Pleasant and Robertsville/St. John have brand new fire trucks.

The two pumper trucks were presented to the fire departments at a ceremony last week held at the Robertsville/St. John Fire Department. The two state-of-the-art fire trucks were the backdrop as county administrator Robert Presnell spoke about the tireless work the county’s volunteer firefighters do for their communities.

Presnell said obtaining USDA Rural Development grants, which were used to purchase the emergency firefighting vehicles, was a joint effort by the county commission, law enforcement, fire services and public works.
