Ky. fire department receives nearly $263K grant

The grant money will be used to purchase new air packs and air tanks

MURRAY, Ky. — The Murray Fire Department will receive $262,858 grant award by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in cooperation with the U.S. Fire Administration. 

That's according to U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield, KY-01, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Power.

This award is made under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program and will be used to purchase new air packs and air tanks for the fire department's firefighters.
