NJ fire departments receive $397K in grants

Central Jersey fire departments and rescue squads obtain AFG grants

NEW JERSEY — A combined $397,202 in federal Assistance to Firefighter Grants (AFG) to improve safety and operations in local departments across New Jersey were awarded on Wednesday, according to a joint news release from U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker

The AFG program is administered by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Manville First Aid and Rescue Squad received $33,700 for safety and operations.
