Ind. fire department receives grant

PORTAGE TWP., Ind. — The pizza chain, along with Fireman's Fund Insurance company donated a $5,000 grant Wednesday to the Portage Township Fire Department.
The fire department, which is facing budget issues, will use the money to purchase a hose tester and fire educational materials.
The new hose tester is a much-needed tool for fire fighters.
Portage Township Fire Chief Terry Korpal says, "Right now there's a county wide one that's kind of hard to get to sometimes. Now that we have this money we can buy one every year when we want to instead of when we have to."
