Pa. firefighters get $675K grant for new ladder truck

The grant was made available through the U.S. Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grants program

ROSS, Pa. — The Berkeley Hills Fire Company in Ross will be the recipient of $675,000 federal grant to buy a new ladder truck, Congressman Jason Altmire, D-McCandless announced last week.

The company serves the largest fire district in Ross, including several multistory buildings. The truck will replace one that is 20 years old.

The grant was made available through the U.S. Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grants program.
