2010 Guidance and Application Kit: Coming in 2010

AFG 2010 Funding : $360 Million est

Purpose: Protect the public and fire service personnel from fire and all other hazards.

Eligible Applicants

  • Fire departments
  • Nonaffiliated EMS organizations

Eligible applicants can submit up to 3 applications under AFG: Vehicle Acquisition, Operations & Safety and Regional Projects.

1. Vehicle Acquisitions: #1 Priorities

3. Regional Projects: Multiple organizations serving more than one local jurisdiction benefit directly from the activities implemented.

2009 Priority: Communications & Training

  • Eligible applicants may act as a host for a regional application.
  • Regional projects are designed to facilitate interoperability and efficiency among participants.
  • Standardization does NOT necessarily equate to interoperability.
