Community Development Block Grant Program for Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages (ICDBG)

Description: 

Program Overview: This program provides support for community development efforts that strengthen the nation’s housing market, meet the need for quality affordable rental homes, utilize housing as a platform for improving quality of life, build inclusive and sustainable communities free from discrimination, and transform the way HUD does business. Preference will be given to proposed activities that meet the priorities of job creation, sustainability, affirmatively furthering fair housing, capacity building and knowledge sharing, using housing as a platform for improving other outcomes, and expanding cross-cutting policy knowledge.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants are Indian tribes or tribal organizations on behalf of Indian tribes. To apply for funding, you must be eligible as an Indian tribe (or as a tribal organization), as required by 24 CFR 1003.5, by the application deadline date.
