Description: Overview:
The Palo Alto Community Fund builds and sustains a philanthropic endowment that responds to the goals and needs of the Palo Alto, California, community by supporting new or existing programs sponsored by a broad spectrum of Palo Alto area nonprofit organizations.
Fields of interest include: aging; aging, centers/services; arts; children, services; community/economic development; developmentally disabled, centers & services; disabilities, people with; economic development; education; environment; family services; family services, domestic violence; health care; housing/shelter; human services; mental health/crisis services; nutrition; performing arts, music; and youth.
Eligibility:
Giving is limited to Palo Alto, California and neighboring communities. PACF supports charitable nonprofit organizations whose programs serve the communities of the Palo Alto area, East Palo Alto, or Menlo Park with particular focus on:
- Arts and Culture
- Community Development and Social Services
- Education
- Environment
- Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities
- Housing and Nutrition
- Senior Services
- Youth and Families
Program Areas:
We are seeking programs that:
- Strengthen and enrich the quality of life of individuals and their communities;
- Target community needs; and
- Maximize the impact of grant dollars through collaborative efforts.
While we favor supporting specific, program-related grants (new or existing), grants for ongoing operating expenses may be considered in compelling circumstances.
