Writing your SAFER Grants application

By Glenn Gaines
DHS Office of Grants and Training

To take the boredom out of reading the Program Guidance documents when applying for SAFER Grants, consider viewing the Applicant Tutorials section on the FEMA web site. I have written all of them with the firefighter in mind.

The opening screen (Table of Contents) allows applicants to select their own unique area of interest. If for example they are an experienced applicant, they can select the section that describes what is new for the current year and then check their specific area of interest.

The tutorials are not a panacea, but they provide the correct information in a very direct and informative way.
