BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. — Millions of dollars gambled away on the slot machines at Parx Casino could soon be used to hunt fugitives, pump sewage, repave roads and install low-energy street lights in areas of Lower Bucks County.
The Bucks County Redevelopment Authority plans on Friday to award $3.8 million in grants funded through fees on gambling, and it won’t be easy selecting the award-winners, said Bob White, executive director.
The county agency received more than $8.5 million in requests for projects in more than a dozen boroughs and towns.
