IAFC receives $40K grant to train future leaders

CHANTILLY, Va. — The International Association of Fire Chiefs received a $40,000 grant from Motorola Solutions Foundation to fund the training of future leaders.

According to a press release, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. granted the funding to the IAFC for the sixth consecutive year to support the organization’s Officer Development Program, which has trained more than 850 company officers.

IAFC Foundation President Anthony Campisi said the foundation looks forward to expanding officer development training.

“We thank Motorola for its continuing commitment to the IAFC Foundation’s initiatives to train the next generation of fire service leaders,” Campisi said. “The demands and skills required of today’s fire chief to succeed are increasing and becoming more complex every year. It is critical that we provide our future leaders with the education and training necessary to help them protect their communities and first responders.”

Motorola Solutions Foundation grants will help more than three million students, first responders and community members around the world.
