Covington residents took 10-question online quiz about fire safety knowledge; each completed quiz secured credit toward grant

COVINGTON, Ky. — The Covington Fire Department is the recipient of a $10,000 grant through the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company’s Be Fire Smart Safety Pledge program.

From Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, more than 1,275 Covington residents visited www.BeFireSmart.com and took a 10-question, online quiz about fire safety knowledge, according to a release issued on behalf of the company’s program.

Each completed quiz secured a credit for the Covington Fire Department, helping it become one of six midsize communities, and one of 10 cities and towns overall across the nation to win a Mutual grant.
