Pa. fire department receives USDA grant

The $6,000 grant will pay to repaint the volunteer department's station and repave its driveway

OLYPHANT, Pa. — Eureka Hose Company No. 4 won a $6,000 grant to repaint its station and repave part of its driveway, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced.

The USDA Rural Development's Community Facilities Program helps finance essential community facilities for public use in rural areas.

Funds are available to public bodies and non-profit organizations.
