NY fire department awarded $88K grant

The funding will go directly to these fire departments to help make sure enough personnel are at the ready to respond to any emergency

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Pleasantville Fire Department was one of two New Jersey departments to receive FEMA grants, according to a joint announcement made recently by U.S. Senators Robert Menendez (D) and Jeff Chiesa (R).

Together they announced two federal grant awards totaling $328,149 for fire companies serving Pleasantville and Collingswood.

The funding is awarded through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response programs. Pleasantville will receive a $88,965 AFG grand for operations and safety.
