ADAIRVILLE, Ky. — The City of Adairville has received news that they had been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $500,000 to build a new fire station for the Adairville City and Rural Fire Department according to an announcement from Tony Wilder, Director of the Department of Local Government.

Mayor Donna Blake first shared this at the city Christmas Dinner on Tuesday night.

State Representative Martha Jane King was told by phone at the dinner because Blake wanted to give her credit for all the work she has done and continues to do for our community as well as her entire district. Representative King was unable to attend the dinner and announcement due to being in Washington, D.C. for the summit on soldiers’ benefits.
