Pa. volunteer fire department gets equipment grant

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department will be getting a $17,148 grant through the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters.

The fire department will use the grant to purchase a portable water tank, blitz fire nozzles, external auto defibrillators and a ladder access system for one of its trucks.

Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Hollidaysburg, will host a check presentation at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the fire department, 29 South Potomac Street, to announce the award. He will tour the Target distribution warehouse near Chambersburg at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
