Last year's grant provided fire detector installation funding for hearing-impaired people

DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Dubuque Fire Department has been awarded $28,960 from the Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grants program. The funding will be used to install fire detectors in low-income homes, specifically households with children.
Last year, the AFG grant provided fire detector installation funding for hearing-impaired people in Dubuque.
