HURRICANE, W.Va. — Keeping a full staff at a volunteer fire department can be as much of a challenge as fighting fires.
But in Hurricane, help – in the form of more volunteers – may soon be on the way. Volunteers at the Hurricane Fire and Rescue are excited and hopeful for what a $577,100 grant will bring to their community.
Volunteers at the department said an increase in staff means an increase in safety.
